We are one of the oldest towns in the state, incorporated on July 8,1854.   We have a long history dating back to 1635, when we began as an independent colony known as the Saybrook Plantation.

Hiking Trails
This interactive map shows the locations and colors of the hiking trails in Old Saybrook recreational areas known as Town Park, Great Cedars West Conservation Area and Great Cedars East.  If you click on a trail or anywhere inside a town parcel, a small pop-up window will open.  Click the X to close the window or click the > symbol to display information about the feature or features you clicked on.
