Acton Public Library Announces
the Addition of a New Format in Audiobooks
to the Library Collection.
Playaway – the first self-playing digital audio book – is a palm-sized, self-contained unit, each of which holds a single pre-loaded book in its entirety. Playaway gives listeners the ability to move back and forth within or between chapters and alter the speed of a narrator’s voice. It also has an automatic bookmark feature that remembers where you left off. Playaway has a universal headphone jack that works with most types of headphones and earbuds.
Acton Public Library introduces the Playaway format with selected titles in Children’s, Young Adult, and Adult collections, including fiction, nonfiction, and languages.
The Collection Includes:
The Miracle at Speedy Motors by Alexander McCall Smith
Crispin: The Cross of Lead by Avi
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko
Marley and Me by John Grogan
and over 50 other titles.
