Exemptions

The State of Connecticut and the Town of Old Saybrook offer many exemptions to persons who are; renters and homeowners over the age of 65 with income restrictions, collecting Social Security disability, Blind, Veterans, Active Duty Military Personnel, or owners of Farmland. This is not an all inclusive list. All exemptions are time sensitive. To find out more about exemptions or to see if you would qualify please call our office.

Board of Assessment Appeals

Those who feel they are not properly assessed may make application to the Board of Assessment Appeals. Applications can be printed from the Assessors Forms list on the Assessor page https://www.oldsaybrookct.gov/assessors-office/pages/assessment-forms or picked up in the Assessor's office and must be returned to the Assessor's office between February 1st - February 20th of every year.
